◖一套關於落難神像的書冊◗

為幫助神像尋「龕」,記錄與探究落難神像所處的現況,以「祂」、「它」劃分,當神像脫離宗教後,是否能去除神性使其有藝術、文化及商業等歸屬。


A set of books about the abandoned deities, aiming to help them find a “shrine”, which is their “home”. The books document and explore the current situation of the abandoned deities, dividing them into "he" and "it". When the deities are separated from religion, can they be stripped of their divinity and given an artistic, cultural, or commercial identity?


◖落難神像◗

「落難」一詞為遭遇天然或人為的災禍而陷入困境。而所謂的「落難神像」是指曾經被供奉,但後來遭丟棄的神像,大部分是廟宇、家庭所奉祀的神像淘汰換新或被遺棄的神像。

Abandoned deity that were once worshipped but later discarded are mostly statues from temples or households that have been replaced with new ones or abandoned.
◖命名由來◗

「龕」是供奉佛像、神像、神位 或祖先靈位等信仰對象或聖物的小閣子, 主題命名「尋龕」意指幫助神像找尋家。

The word "龕" means shrine, is a small cabinet used to enshrine religious objects or sacred items such as statues of Buddha, gods, or ancestors' spirits. The name "尋龕" means to help these deities find their home.


◖習俗◗

神像的眼睛是神佛靈氣的出入口,在神像未開光前或退神儀式後,需用紅紙遮住神像的眼睛,目的是為防止其他靈體進入神像之中。

The eyes of the deity are the entrance and exit of the divine spirit. Covering them with red paper is to prevent other spiritual entities from entering into the deity.

作為前導使讀者了解書本內容,以文字為主,主要在敘述何謂落難神像以及與讀者溝通相關的禁忌。

The first book as a guide for readers to understand the contents of the book, primarily through text, describing what abandoned deity statues are and communicating related taboos to the reader.
◖祂◗

講述神像被拋棄的歷史和紀錄環台三個月調查臺灣各地的落難神像過程,以攝影的方式呈現。

The second book discusses the history of abandoned deity and documents the process of our investigation of abandoned deity throughout Taiwan, mainly presented through photography.
◖它◗

分為兩個章節,講述關於收留落難神像的人們與神像的故事和從文化、商業、藝術的方面去討論如何讓神像找到歸屬•

The third book is divided into two chapters, the books narrate the stories of the people who provide shelter for abandoned deity and delve into the cultural, commercial, and artistic aspects of finding a sense of belonging for these deities.
